As part of a year-long campaign by the Bay Area Host Committee (BAHC) and the College Football Playoff Foundation's Extra Yard for Teachers (EYFT) program, which will ultimately provide $1 million in direct support to Bay Area educators, the CFP Foundation and BAHC will make a $150,000 contribution toward direct grants to help educators cover home purchase costs. Three public school teachers and/or staff members will receive grants of $25,000 that they can pair with Landed down payment support or other existing down payment programs to help them own homes in eligible San Francisco Bay Area counties, including San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Alameda, Santa Cruz, Marin, and Contra Costa counties, where median home prices rank among the highest in the country. The grants will be awarded in time for the EYFT Summit on January 5-6, 2019. The purpose of these grants is to inspire and empower educators by making homeownership more accessible.
BAHC and the CFP Foundation recognize how challenging becoming a homeowner can be, even with access to innovative down payment assistance and grant programs. For those who are not awarded the top grants, a series of smaller grants to support financial wellness will be awarded to educators who apply and qualify in the months leading up to the EYFT Summit.

On a mission to help essential professionals build financial security near the communities they serve.
Three lucky educator homebuyers will be selected to win one $25,000 grant each towards the purchase of a new home. A series of smaller grants will be allotted to educators who enter the drawings but do not win the top prize. Recipients of all grants will be individually notified in the months leading up to the Extra Yard for Teachers Summit on January 5-6, 2019.
Grant recipients will be determined by raffle throughout the fall, with one drawing beginning in November, another at the beginning of December, and yet another at the beginning of January.
All you have to do is:
Sign up by completing the quick form above.
Complete an interest form with Landed.
Follow subsequent instructions in order to be entered into any of the three drawings taking place this fall.
Be sure to complete these steps by the deadlines published below!
Winners of the three top grants of $25,000 must be in a position to apply the support to the purchase of a home in the Bay Area within 3 months of being selected, with or without the addition of Landed down payment support. For those educators who complete the steps above and are entered into the drawings, but who are not in a position to apply the support to the purchase of a home as previously outlined, you will still be considered for the drawings for a series of smaller grants to support educator financial wellness.
